I do not understand how to worship you O my Teacher !You only know that the greatest virtue of human life is to distribute Kowledge.That is why you have vowed to give knowledge to others throughout your life.All the works of wealthy and famous men cannot be compared with the greatness of your sacrifice.Continuously you burn like the flame of a candle to wipe out the Darkness inside the minds of others.Who can show us the right path except you O Teacher ?

O Mother SARASWATI ! I pray you,Accept my prayers !Come with the glittering whiteness of your White Garment .Come with your White Swan and give the light of True knowledge to the world !Let the darkness of human mind be eliminated by your Divine Light O Mother !

DEVI SARASWATI

Wisdom is drizzling from the sky.There is the sound of veena in the air.And my eyes can see the pure White light coming out of You O Mother Saraswati !
The spring season is singing in Your praise.The earth is worshiping You and the whole universe is offering the flowers of devotion at Your feet O Mother Baradaa !
The whole world awakes into a span of new conciousness and happiness with Your blessings O Mother Jagadaa !

MUSHIKASUR

The Rat Demon was so furious that he devoured his own mother !Every one was panicked and wanted to catch the demon.Mother Durga said,"I have killied Mahishaasur in the past and I can kill this Rat easily."She came with her weapons but was defeated by Mushikaasur and fled.She was surprised to witness the energy of the Demon.Bramhaa the creator of the Universe said,"The Demon will not die,because he has been blessed with indefinite life span.Only Lord NARASINGHA or VISHNU has got the capacity to defeat this Demon.So pray him." At last Lord Vishnu transformed Himself in to the CAT Avataar or the MARJAARA KESHARI Avataar and attacked the Demon.The demon could not face the CAT and fled to Paataal or deep in to the earth through a hole in GANDHAMARDAN hills.So the story goes -Now also Lord Vishnu guards at the entrance of the hole waiting for the Mouse Demon to come out.This holy place is called NRUSINGH NAATH and the avataar is known as the MARJAARA KESHARI avataar..........02-10-2013 (This lyric has been written in Sambalpuri-Koshli language-the language of Western Odisha.Both Odia and Hindi(Devnaagari) script has been used.)

When I am afraid I chant Your Name.Only You can protect and guide me in a dark night when nothing is visible.You are the Mother of this whole universe.No body can defeat You and that is why You are known as APARAAJITAA.O Mother, please answer me when I call You !O Mother Samlei ! You are the daughter of the Mountain God.You are being worshiped as the Mother of this universe.And whom I can rely upon if You do not listen to me ?........19-09-2013

NRUSINGH NAATH

O Lord ! For You only this earth continues to exist.You came to this world as RAAM to destroy the ten headed Raavan.You became the DWARF AVTAAR to put your third leg on the head of the great king BALI.As Lord Krishna you destroyed the wicked KANSA and as PARSURAAM  wiped out the sinners of this world.You came with a  body of  half lion half man and  killed HIRANYAKASHIPU on the threshold of his own house.So you are known as NARASINGHA. During the Catastrophe or Pralay you became a great Fish and saved your chosen ones O Lord !You became a Turtle to carry the large Mandar hill on your back.Of course !Once You appeared as a BOAR to save Mother EARTH.You have come to this world in Ten Avtaars to safe guard DHARMA or Virtue and destroy ADHARMA or Vice.But at GANDHAMARDAN hill of ODISHA you became a CAT and waiting since ages for the MOUSE DEMON to come out of its hole so that You can destroy him.That is why Your name NRUSINGHNAATH (Half lion half man avtar)has been transformed in to MAARJAARA or the (CAT avatar)...................14-09-2013

AASA DUKHA JAATANAA

I have always run after Happiness and Pleasure .But is human life complete without Sorrows and Miseries ?O Sorrows !O Miseries !And the tears of Remorse !Are you not closer to me than Happiness and Pleasure ?I have tried to forget you ,but could not.Today you have come near me.And I must request you----Please strike the strings of your silent Harp !Let me listen to the eternal vibrations of those strings so that tears of Repentance fall out of my Pretending eyes !!

JANAMA BHUMIRA

I AM AN OYSTER

O Lord ! I am a small oyster living on Your sea beach of Awareness. I see the beautiful sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening everyday.The breeze of awareness touches my body regularly.I can listen to your majestic Voice in the sounds of the waves of water continuously....O Lord !Kindly tell me when Your blessings will come in the form of Tidal Waves and sweep me away in to the Ocean of Infinity ?!
